After 18 years of full time work and reaching a senior level position, I had to go on benefits for a period due to serious burnout from ADHD and bipolar disorder. If I didn't get those benefits, I would have lost everything and could have ended up homeless. I am sick to the teeth of people treating benefits like everyone is a scrounger. It's a literal lifeline. The GPD % spend of benefits in 2026 is exactly the same as as it was in 2009. The politicians are lying to us. There is no crisis. It's the tax avoiders where the big money is to be found, but that would likely include the politicians friends and family, so they leave that well alone.

Please don’t compare somebody’s chronic condition to the week you were really sick once. The symptoms might sound similar. But dealing with those symptoms week after week, month after month and year after year is a completely different experience.

Well, I will say that we NEED to legalize THC then! At least people that want it, can get it from a trusted source. Hell, They legalized Delta THC and are now renigging on it because of the damn alcohol companies, in many states. It’s overall less harmful than alcohol, PERIOD.

Its called 7OH and i believe its liquid form. Kratom however is different. Kratom helped me come off of dr prescribed fentanyl and about 9 other different medications. I used 8t for that purpose only for about 2 months. I used the red or chocolate strain for withdrawals and it helped tremendously.

I’ve always found it strange that we built so much technology to make life easier, yet somehow everyone still feels busy all the time. We have automation, smartphones, instant communication and tools that save hours of work. So why does it feel like people have less free time instead of more?

I chuckle when boomers tell me young people don't know how to have fun anymore. A guy I work with had cancer in his groin lymph nodes. He had surgery to remove it and a bunch of radiation treatments. His bill was over $500k. It was so much that Anthem raised our entire company's premiums the next year so much that we had to switch to United Healthcare.
