River Ryan made his Detroit debut going 3 scoreless. He was pumping 98 with spin and extension and flashing a 70-grade change-up. He struck out 3 and walked 1. The command was ok. He threw 26-of-43 for strikes and got 6 whiffs. He's a mid-rotation guy that should make some All-Star games. Nice pick-up by the Tigers.

Jackson Flora struck out 4 of the 6 batters he faced in his first Double-A outing. The change-up was a standout pitch featuring depth at 88 mph and separation from his riding 97 mph fastball. Our expected contribution is an All-Star level #3 Starter. He is going to arrive on the Major League scene quickly.

Jackson Ferris had his best outing of the season yesterday. He threw 73-of-102 pitches for strikes, getting 22 whiffs. He struck out 13 over 7.2 scoreless innings and only walked 1. Ferris helped OKC clinch the second-half title. His 89 mph slider and 78 mph curve were both really effective.

His riding mid-90s fastball and plus changeup are a legitimate bat-missing pairing. Over the past 30 days he's logged 25.2 IP with 26 K, a strong stretch for the Mets' no. 3 prospect.
