Sony says “reasonable consumers” understand that buying a digital PlayStation game doesn’t mean you actually own it. Then why does the PlayStation Store say BUY NOW? If Sony takes your money and puts the game in your library, what exactly did you buy? This is exactly why ownership, physical games, preservation, and consumer rights matter. Should BUY actually mean OWN?

THIS is the conversation we should be having about an all-digital future. Mexico is looking at consumer protections for digital purchases, including making companies clearly tell you when you're buying a LICENSE instead of actually owning something. GOOD. I'm not anti-digital. I buy digital games all the time. But if physical games disappear, consumers need WAY more protection than “trust us bro, it'll stay in your library.”

Xbox finally made a drastic change to Halo. The next Halo game is being developed by a new purpose-built team at Activision while Halo Studios moves into a smaller support role. After years of 343 Industries, Halo Infinite, Halo Studios resets and Halo: Campaign Evolved, Xbox finally changed direction. But Activision hasn’t saved Halo yet. I swear half my time in Red Dead Redemption 2 wasn't even spent doing missions. I'd ride somewhere, see some random shit happening on the side of the road and suddenly 45 minutes were gone. That's what made that world so damn good.

Wait… we almost got a fucking GANONDORF game?! Ubisoft Milan was reportedly working with Nintendo on a Zelda spinoff where GANONDORF was the main character. Nintendo eventually saw the prototype and killed it. Man I don't even know if the game would've been good… but I absolutely want to see what the hell they made. A full game from Ganondorf's perspective could've been crazy.
