No BS-VI? No Delhi entry? 🚨
From 1 November 2026, non-Delhi registered commercial goods vehicles below BS-VI will face entry restrictions in Delhi.
📌 What the rule says
- As per CAQM Direction No. 88, non-Delhi registered LGVs, MGVs and HGVs that do not meet the BS-VI standard or run on CNG, LNG or electricity will not be allowed to enter Delhi.
- BS-III and older vehicles have been barred since 1 November 2025.
- BS-IV commercial goods vehicles were permitted entry only as a transitional measure until 31 October 2026.
- The exemption for non-BS-VI vehicles carrying essential goods or providing essential services also ends on 31 October 2026.
✅ Still allowed
- Delhi-registered commercial goods vehicles
- BS-VI-compliant commercial goods vehicles
- CNG, LNG and electric commercial goods vehicles
❌ Restricted from 1 November 2026
Non-Delhi registered BS-IV and older LGVs, MGVs and HGVs.
⚠️ Good to know
These restrictions apply to commercial goods vehicles, not private cars or two-wheelers. GRAP-based, stage-wise restrictions on commercial vehicles apply separately.
