The MIRV is back on display! The LMG-118A Peacekeeper intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) was more powerful and more accurate than the Minuteman III. It carried 10 nuclear weapons in its Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) warhead.

Lights, camera, history! 📸🚁 The official photo shoot for the World War II-era Kellett XR-8 experimental helicopter took place today! Plans call for this to be placed by the Vertijet in the R&D Gallery this October.

Thomas-Morse S4C Scout
The Tommy on display was donated to the museum in March 1965 by Capt. R.W. Duff, Miami, Florida. The museum's restoration team spent about two years restoring this aircraft which is now on display in the Early Years Gallery as of Oct. 28, 2021.

Lockheed SR-71A
On March 21 '68 in the aircraft on display, Maj. (later Gen.) Jerome F. O'Malley & Maj. Edward D. Payne made the first operational SR-71 sortie. During its career, this aircraft accumulated 2,981 flying hours & flew 942 total sorties.

De Havilland DH 82A Tiger Moth
This classic British trainer made its first flight on Oct. 26, 1931. It is one of a number of models of light aircraft named for moths, in recognition of designer Geoffrey de Havilland's interest in moths and butterflies.
