Fitting that the Leafs’ worst season of the Matthews era comes in a year where Boston owns their first round pick (and these guys will not suck enough to finish bottom 5, don’t even start with that). Cheering for this hellscape of a franchise has no benefits. None.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team make worse breakout passes than the Leafs have in this game. It’s either a grenade to nobody or a backhand floater to nobody. Not a sustainable strategy against an AHL team but let’s do it against the Avalanche and see if it works
