Hello AIGP (Rtd) @AKasingye, an honest conversation about the Cleaning Days Programme is welcome. Actually stakeholders do review and evaluate each monthly edition of the #NationalCleaningDay.
Evaluation results of the previous two editions show they’re successful. This month’s edition will also be reviewed. The cleaning hours are three (from 7 A.M to 10 A.M). All businesses are expected to open immediately after 10 A.M.
We appreciate all people in 🇺🇬 who have embraced this programme 🙏🏿 and continue to appeal to all everyone to participate in cleaning activities every last Saturday of the month. Keeping Uganda clean is everyone’s responsibility.

#UnpopularOpinion #845. The National Cleaning Exercise. I think the @OPMUganda needs to quickly evaluate this exercise. There are few people cleaning now. Many remain in the residences— sleeping. They begin to move out of their homes at midday. Economists need to tell us how much we lose in terms of business in the 6 hrs of no activity. Banks, transport, shopping centers etc, are closed. It seems also, social functions like weddings will now be shifted away from the last Saturday of the month. We need to have an honest conversation about this policy.
