On Sept. 23, within a span of 2 hours and occurring only 5 miles apart, ASP Troopers seized approximately 59 pounds of illegal marijuana, 200 grams of THC vape products & $4,510 in cash in 2 traffic stops on I-40 in Pope County, resulting in 3 arrests.

At the request of Eudora PD (EPD), ASP CID is investigating the fatal stabbing of Debra Cooper, 65, that occurred in Eudora on the afternoon of September 22.
Homicide suspect Caleb Johnson, 40, was taken into custody by EPD officers at the scene.

On Sept. 18, after a 5-day trial, a Baxter Co. Circuit Court jury convicted Ryan James Lindsey, 33, in connection with the Dec. 2020 death of Cody Stradford, 35, of Mountain Home.
He was sentenced to life w/o parole, +15 years in ADC and $12,500 in fines.

Kaleigh Reaves, 24, of Little Rock, has been charged in a Sept. 14 pedestrian fatality that occurred on I-430, claiming the life of a 36-year-old Hot Springs woman.
Reaves turned herself in at Pulaski County District Court on Sept. 18.

ASP Cold Case Unit Agents and Pine Bluff PD officers arrested Stephanie Amos, 52, of Jacksonville, today, in connection with the homicide of a newborn baby, whose body was discovered in a Pine Bluff ditch 34 years ago.
A DNA sample linked the baby to Amos.
