Same Adventure, New Chapter. Moving forward we will be an independent vendor working will all of the helmet manufacturers now, so that will be opening some new doors. Lora, my beautiful wife has started working with me full time. The studio is growing and I needed help. She is an invaluable asset to what I do. She will be helping with organizing, prep, masking all the fun stuff we do. In addition to that she will be doing social media stuff. Alot of what I do is secret so we'll show the old stuff and new stuff as we can. Looking forward to what the future holds.

The world of art, sports & collectibles is a very interesting thing to be part of. There are just things I get used to... and then there are things that really suprise me. Right after Houston unveiled their helmets for Saturdays game they had an MVP party and auctioned of the Pluto helmet. 1of1 that quarterback Conner Weigman would were in the game. It sold for $40,000.... for a football helmet that I painted. I don't even know what to say to that. Im very happy to work with Houston Football and Andrew Johnson. @connerweigman what was it like to wear that!?

Wow.. thats a new record for me! @darrenrovell
Look at the University of Houston Pluto helmet that UH starting quarterback Conner Weigman will wear for tomorrow's game with UCF. Just was auctioned off for $40,000 at the UH Hall of Honor gala. Athletic director Eddie Nuñez notes that winner has to let Weigman wear it first and then will get it after the game.

What a moment. 🌌🏈 I’m incredibly appreciative of everyone who helped bring Gridiron Galaxy to life. A project like this doesn’t happen without an unbelievable team of people willing to take an idea and help turn it into something truly special.

11 years ago is what my phone told me. At that time I was a sports artist Licensed by the leagues. IThis is Drew Brees I think 30x40 mixed media on panel. I do miss doing that but it was very difficult & expensive to pursue. I had success but not like the football helmets now.

The purse I painted for Zarna Garg, on behalf of Warrior Rising. I'm very fortunate that I get to work with such a great organization that allows me to paint for some very special people. I hate to say it but I didn't know who Zarna was when I was asked to do a project for her. However, I have done 2 projects for her and spent some time with her now. She is one of the nicest celebrities that I have ever worked with! She is such an amazing person. Im so blessed to do what I do! Helping Veterans find their purpose WarriorRising.org

Warrior Rising, what is Warrior Rising? As a Veteran and knowing Veterans we struggle after our service ends. That purpose of what we do in the military is very important everyday. Our lives literally depend on the decisions we make for us and our battle buddies. Then we are just released into the wild that is civilization, and we tend to lose our sense of purpose and our tribe.. Warrior Rising helps find that direction and purpose again. They offer classes and mentorship with some of the best in the business. The connections they have are unbelievable. They create so many opportunities for the Veterans. Here's the deal, it's not a hand out, you have to work for it everyday. They will help with the tools to succeed but you have to put in the work. Building a business for yourself is one of the greatest senses of purpose there is. One of the best parts you ask?! The Tribe! The other Veterans that are part of the journey. There is just something about talking to other Veterans and sharing your experiences & knowledge. I have lifelong friends from Warrior Rising and look forward to spending time with them. Warrior Rising is just different than the rest, its something truly special. Warrior Rising is life changing. This is James Legier and I after the game with the game balls we were presented. I made the helmets that they wore celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Blue. James made custom rings using the actual turf from the original blue field. We met at a Warrior Rising event several years ago and have become friends. It was cool to see 2 of the Warrior Rising tribe have such a big part in the celebration of the Blue. One of the most recognizable sights in all of college football and we got to help with that. Helping Veterans find their purpose WarriorRising.org @warriorrising

This weekend was a lot of amazing experiences for me. I sacrifice a lot of time to paint helmets. We only have a window to get all of these done. They fit the players in the spring and put the orders in. So my summer and fall is extremely busy, I miss a lot of things. So when we go on some of these trips I get to bring my family. I'm hoping I give my kids experiences they will never forget. Boise State is one of the best! They spoil me & my family and make us feel so very special. Thank you Boise State and especially Matthew Sterling.

Painting the King Cake Baby. 1 helmet for Tulane had a baby on it.. soo when Cody asked me to put a baby on one helmet.... "you want what?" Lol.. evidently the King Cake is made with a plastic baby toy in it and whomever gets the piece with the baby gets to buy the King Cake for next year.. and now you know the rest of the story!

It's too bad both these helmets were worn on the same weekend. Otherwise, I think they both had a shot at uniform of the week. But I'll take it. I don't think it sinks in that i get to do this for a living. I never thought my art would ever be seen the way it is. I'm very thankful for all of this.
