Allow the game to be good! Last night was Kendall & Jack’s first game of Junior Tritons season, the St Pete rec league. We saw pick-n-rolls (multiple), good ball movement, attacking the paint & defensive effort from BOTH teams. Refs did a great job as parents sat & watched.

It’s all HS sports. Only 7% go on to play in college, but the emphasis nowadays is if you’re not a starter, or don’t want to play in college, what’s the point of playing🤷🏼‍♂️ We, as in the “adults” in the room, have lost the plot of what HS and youth sports are supposed to be about

I got crushed on a post before by some people when I said #1 complaint I’ve heard in last 10 yrs of coaching girls is school 🏀 is no fun. People disagreed and said it’s because 🏀 is too physical and hard. So wrestling and football isn’t?! If us 🏀 coaches weren’t so damn stubborn, and were willing to learn and admit our shortcomings, we’d study the positive vibes of the 🏐 culture and make improvements.
