Sen. Gillibrand to @MacFarlaneNews on reported suicide attempts aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln: We just received a letter back and it said there had been eight attempted suicides. One person they had to fish out of the water and thank God saved his life. Another was about to jump, but his colleague stopped him. Eight attempted suicides in a relatively short period of time is fairly alarming.

Clarke: There is still more work to be done. There are still hard questions that need to be asked. There are still witnesses who need to be pressed to help this family get the answers they deserve. I spent a lot of time with Nolan Wells’s mother and father, and they are grieving. Nobody has been able to put forth anything that can explain why their son is not here today. There needs to be more focus on the blunt force trauma to the back of Nolan Wells’s head.
