When USC started wearing guardian caps at practice, I asked someone if they were for concussion safety. Instead, I was told it was so the quarterback didn't slam his hand down on a helmet and break a finger. Sure enough, the QB and outside WRs and CBs were only ones without them
Do Guardian Caps actually prevent concussions? @ChrisNowinski1 tells @PabloTorre why the story "appears to be a bit of a scam":
"[The NFL's] own published study showed it wasn't true."
"They love that the public sees the Guardian Caps because it's basically virtue-signaling."

Sean McVay on this moment: "I don't know what the hell the skipping was, that looked really weird. That was bad. I got some good air right there, though, so I'll take that." Many thanks to Maria Serrao for the question lol

Rams WR Konata Mumpfield has a rotator cuff contusion, Sean McVay says. Doesn't sound like something Rams are worried about. Same with Emmanuel Forbes (knee contusion)
