Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Friday that President Donald J. Trump has made a final decision to grant Ukraine a license to produce Patriot air defense missiles. Zelenskyy said President Trump confirmed the decision during their meeting this week on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. Zelenskyy previously estimated that launching domestic production in Ukraine would take one to one and a half years once licensing is finalized.

Hey, look who’s into journalistic ethics now. Let’s ask some questions of @DanLamothe about journalistic ethics……
Is it OK to falsely imply that someone did something when you had absolutely zero evidence of it, and included zero evidence in your article, which led to a bunch of people who agree with your politics repeating as if it’s true even though it’s a complete and utter falsehood?
If you did that intentionally, that would be wrong, right? If you did that unintentionally, do journalistic ethics require that you correct it?
I’m very interested in your and @wapo’s commitment to journalistic ethics, Dan, having experienced it firsthand.
