It's always good to be cautious

I wore my T-shirt that just says Milwaukee on it to work the other day, a nod to the city that forged me, and after I hit the gym, I changed into my shirt that just says South Dakota. Some people thought I only had the Milwaukee one, but they don’t know me, my style is always a step ahead, I got fashion moves they haven't even thought of.

Had a friendly chat with a public defender in the elevator today at work during which I used the word "verisimilitude" and yeah I reckon it was a little bit of a flex but it happened to be just the right word.

When I read a tweet that's "boosted", it's often something like "hit your zliprxyapi limit? Get busy with turbo github v3 & 1,4 prs! Click for codex opt-in!" Get outta here with that. You know what tweets should be boosted? Ones where cops beat firefighters in charity tug of war.

Worked a special event today where my police department provided lunch. I ate a burrito and was still hungry & got a second one. My co-worker said he could maybe only eat half of a second burrito so I had to tell him that was why no one would remember his name.

I thought my door-kicking days were over, but the police gods had other plans for me recently. Lot harder to kick in a door at 53 than it was at 33. I think sometimes I amuse the police gods.

There's a vase-shaped container of candy in the Investigations admin office. Today I reached in to grab a treat and got my hand stuck for far longer than I would care to admit. Afterwards, I was thinking what if I couldn't get it out. What if they had to call someone. Could you ever live something like that down? Seems like the kind of thing you'd carry with you for a career no matter what other triumphs you had on the job.
