Very, very little productive dialogue occurs between the various factions on the Right today This is most certainly a downstream consequence of Charlie Kirk’s murder But I think it’s primarily driven by the fact that the only thing the old guard GOP (who desperately want to return to pre-Trump politics) ever does in a disagreement with the New Right is resort to Leftist tactics of name-calling—“Nazi,” “racist,” “anti-Semite,” etc— when confronted with political questions, ideas, or debates outside of their comfort zone Thats is exactly what Erick Erickson did today in his laughably unserious AI-generated slopstack. In fact it’s all he does. Because it’s all he *can* do. He has no argument. No reason. No evidence. No insight. It’s what the NRO class has been doing for 10 years. They ain’t changing anytime soon. And as long as they take the low road of hurling unfounded accusations from a Leftist framework, there will be no productive debate. In some senses, it makes the conversation on that side of the Right “boring.” Another round of mind-numbing name calling, another round of showing how they’ve conserved nothing, Trump won without them, and their hypocrisy. Yawn. The most interesting debates happen with those in the, shall we say, “Vanceguard” and the more Dissident Right (also fraught with certain perils). But ultimately, the “debate” as it were between yesterday’s beautiful losers and the winners on the New Right will only be settled by a reification of the Trump era as an irreversible reformation of the Republican Party. And that’s what 2028 is for.

You repeatedly replace those definitions with your own, like treating “decree” as synonymous with “command,” and then attack the resulting contradiction. As John Stonestreet puts it, “it’s no good having the same vocabulary if we’re using different dictionaries.” Before arguing against Reformed theology, you have to understand the definition of its own terms, otherwise you’re engaging with a caricature.
