I see it the way we light up when foreigners speak our local language. I see it in your reactions when I type in Yoruba. I see it when non-natives speak your language. But that is simply about communication. You don't carry power and give somebody merely because of that as the expense of quality governance. The last Governor of Delta and the last CBN Governor are from my village and we speak same language. You don't see me celebrating or defending it. That we speak same language is irrelevant to me if your leadership has no positive impact in my life. Sensible people do not put language bias above quality of life, because it is a sign of clinical insanity. You really think I would pick someone that speaks my language over a Yoruba or Hausa person that has my best interest at heart? Don't assume we are all foolish because you are.
