It is an absolute joke that so-called "AI gurus" still tell people to start prompts with "Act as an expert fill-in-the-blank." Because of how these models are trained via RLHF, assigning a persona doesn't give you an expert's actual skillset—it just triggers a semantic output filter. The AI puts on a costume, mimicking the vocabulary and "airs" of a professional without adopting their functional worldview or methodology. Stop asking the machine to play pretend. If you want expert results, dictate the exact rules, constraints, and professional frameworks it must apply. Demand a calculation, not a cosplay.

.@GadSaad agrees with Orwell: it takes an intellectual to come up with truly stupid ideas. When academics are disconnected from reality or accountability, bad ideas spread like parasites. While STEM professionals have to answer for their mistakes, humanities professors build theories that no one ever has to test. That lack of accountability is exactly how toxic ideas take over a university and eventually a culture.
