Important from @WestLondonMan. There is no basis for Christian nationalism in the Bible. And the best kind of political theology is showing that religion, whilst having a critical role in the public sphere, is always operating transversally to nationalism commonly-understood.
The term “Christian nationalism” should never be used when teaching the faithful or speaking on behalf of the Church, the College of Bishops has been advised by Canon Luke Bretherton, Regius Professor of Moral and Pastoral Theology at Oxford.
