According to reporting on the charge sheet of Shadrack Sibiya: He allegedly took an 18-year-old and her friends to The Grand in Sandton, bought them alcohol and continued supplying it at the Garden Court Hotel. The state alleges he raped her after she passed out, then boasted to her friends that she was “very nice and still a virgin”. In a separate allegation involving a 16-year-old, he allegedly sent sexually explicit WhatsApp messages and nude photographs of HERSELF that she had not supplied to him. He is also accused of coercing her into sending explicit videos.

BREAKING : Suspended deputy national commissioner Shadrack Sibiya is in the dock. The state and defence are not opposed to the bail application being broadcast with restrictions but that won’t proceed today because of time constraints. The bail hearing will now be heard on the 29th of September. Sibiya will be detained at Kgosi Mampuru prison. No bail granted.
