Feeling generous this morning.

I was saddened by how heartless some people were yesterday. Just so you know, they had been filming almost everyday since June, including this Sunday, the day before the announcement. A sudden pause like that means it’s URGENT. Family always comes first. He is a human being. He has a life outside of making movies. @mattreevesLA has been working on this film since 2022. He’s been writing this movie with Mattson Tomlin for almost 3 years and even with this personal issue going on he said he wanted to perfect the script as much as truly possible. He then spent another year on pre-production trying to perfect every aspect of this movie. A lot of directors would have walked away under this insane pressure. He stayed because he CARES about this character and about making the movie. DC Studios clearly believes in him. Please let him take his time. I know you all want to see this movie. I mean heck, I run this news account just because of how insanely excited I am for it. But I also want to see his FULL VISION. There will be a day where people will regret what they said after they realize what he went through. I hope that in the end, we will forget about this even happening & that everything turns out okay for him and his family. Please believe in Matt Reeves as he is making this film for you. 🦇

Love and Prayers to Matt Reeves. The family matter is likely very serious 🙏

DC Studios has released the following statement today: “Production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter, Matt has the full support of DC Studios and we look forward to continuing the journey soon.”

"the movie is never coming out, is it?" that doesn't fucking matter right now??? only losers are getting mad at this. i hope matt reeves is okay and that he stays safe in these trying times ☹️

Whatever @mattreevesLA is going through, I only have the best wishes for him and his family 🙏 Everybody please be patient & understanding.

Sebastian Stan says ‘THE BATMAN: PART 2’ is very ambitious, and calls Matt Reeves “a genius of our time.” “It really is one of the most challenging situations I’ve been involved in. I think it’s a very ambitious thing and I hope it lands right. I have a lot of faith in it because I just do feel like [Matt Reeves] is truly like a genius of our time and one of the very few people that I think is so unique and so specific and has been at this for three years. I mean, it’s not an accident. He really really knows what he’s doing and so I am just happy to be part of that vision because I do feel like it’s ambitious and I think it's going to be great.” (via @joshuahorowitz)
