I think Northwestern is better than people think, but Indiana clearly did not look like the No. 5 team in the country tonight. Cig was right, the defense was not good in the second half and they’ve gotta lot of work to do. Also, expectations of Hoover being as good as Mendoza need to stop. Leading a team to a 16-0 record, winning a national championship, being named the Heisman and going No. 1 in the NFL Draft is rare. Expecting Hoover to be Mendoza 2.0 was wishful thinking. Totally different players. But I agree, he has to play better.

The broadcast is spot on highlighting the run blocking by Nick Marsh. Really impressive stuff from him this game. But you gotta give Lee Beebe Jr. a ton of credit for his efforts tonight. He’s an awesome running back.
