Confession... I only do auditions I feel a connection to. It may sound arbitrary, but it's something I started doing this year and I've honestly booked more because of it. I no longer do auditions just to say I submitted something. Knowing your archetypes also helps tremendously!
"I did 30 auditions yesterday!"
So, essentially, you're telling me you weren't selective about what/who you auditioned for, and that you plowed through the material without connecting and committing to it🎙️
Quality > Quantity. I will continue to beat this drum.

Simply put; she is the actor we all wish we were. Her work ethic, her methods, it's all there. On top of that, she cares about everyone she meets to a molecular level. Put some respect on Debra Wilson.

And it's over. What a dream come true it was to attend my first Blizzcon... I'm still in disbelief. From sobbing at the opening ceremony to meeting some of the people that inspired me to start voice acting 2 years ago, it truly was something I'll never forget. (For the Alliance!)

Wow. Rest in peace, Mike. What an incredible life you lived. 🕯️
We say goodbye to another legend today 🕊️
Mike McFarland, the veteran voice actor, ADR director, scriptwriter and producer, has passed away at 56. For generations of anime fans, he was especially known as the original Funimation English voice of Master Roshi in Dragon Ball, alongside major roles in Attack on Titan, One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul and Fullmetal Alchemist.
Some of his most memorable characters included:
• Master Roshi — Dragon Ball
• Jean Kirstein — Attack on Titan
• Buggy the Clown — One Piece
• Koutarou Amon — Tokyo Ghoul
• Jean Havoc — Fullmetal Alchemist / Brotherhood
• Gordon Agrippa — Black Clover
• Mashirao Ojiro — My Hero Academia
• Carnage Kabuto — One-Punch Man
• Teppei Sugo — Psycho-Pass
• Yajirobe — Dragon Ball
• Ectoplasm — My Hero Academia
• Ryoji “Ranka” Fujioka — Ouran High School Host Club
• Cain Nightroad — Trinity Blood
His influence also extended far beyond the microphone. McFarland directed English dubs for major productions including Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball, the Rebuild of Evangelion films, Summer Wars and Wolf Children, helping shape how an entire generation experienced anime in English.
Rest in peace, Mike McFarland. From Master Roshi and Buggy to Jean Kirstein, his voice and work behind the scenes became part of countless anime memories. 🕊️
