For Trinity Valley head coach Greg Heiar, this year’s group has the tools to impact games in just about every way — but what stands out first is how connected they’ve become.
“They’re well connected. They share the ball. They take pride on the defensive end of the court.”
That selflessness carries throughout the roster, from crashing the offensive glass and gang rebounding defensively to a bench that stays completely engaged in the game.
“They seem like some selfless human beings, and they can put the ball in the basket.”
And offensively, Heiar believes Trinity Valley has a combination that should grab the attention of college coaches: shooting, size, length and athleticism with the ability to threaten defenses from multiple levels.
“I think this team can play above the rim, but it can also play behind the three-point line as well.”
With jamborees, tours and Division I coaches coming through the gym, Heiar is ready for the Cardinals to show how their work in practice translates when the competition begins.
