Crypto was always about removing trust from third parties. But there's a second half to that sentence people skip: once you remove the trust from big institutions, you give the power back to people. Do we already have the bank for the internet age? I don't think so. We have the technology. Bitcoin, USDT, a multitude of coins, DeFi. What we don't have is a bank that belongs to the people, for the people, the way Satoshi would have imagined it; where the risk, the safety net, all of it, isn't sitting in the hands of a single institution. I've watched projects try this for the last ten years. One was literally called DeBank. Every single one eventually gave up. You can't manufacture that kind of trust because it has to grow organically, the way Bitcoin did, the way USDT did. And giving the power of money fully back to the people is something governments have never been comfortable with. Look at the backlash Libra got the moment it looked like a corporation might hold power usually reserved for states. Then you'd think what banks were actually for in the beginning. Interest rated and credit business is fine, but people want to feel safe. Revolut's recent incident makes it a bit more obvious, alongside a myriad of crypto incidents. People didn't want to carry gold around and risk losing it centuries ago, cash made it better, now it's turn for digital cash to become safe for the people. A personal wallet today isn't safe. Wrench attacks are all real. What's the problem? We have the tech. Bit the question is whether we can build a version of "safe" that doesn't require trusting a single entity. p.s. LayerZero's loss of the private key absolutely floored me.

I bought a DJI Pocket 4 to create original video content for the Yellow supporters. The idea behind it is to create short, genuine recordings every day and share directly to the people who are holding ethereum:0x236eb848c95b231299b4aa9f56c73d6893462720 token. I'm calling it Yellow Whales. It's a Telegram group, only for token holders, where I talk directly, maybe in circles, camera on, no editing, no filter. Short posts as well. Similar to what I've been doing on X, but with higher intensity, more video content, and more engaging because that's what Telegram is for. Hopefully, see you there!

Someone asked me why Polymarket raises a billion at a $21B valuation. The truth is most people don't even know what they can do on Polymarket. 1 billion divided by 100 million potential users. That's $10 per user. If you're targeting 100 million users, that's not so much judging how resource demanding retail can be. I think that's exactly why the valuation makes sense. When you start to think about what Polymarket can become. For example, I haven't heard of a sucessfull broker for Polymarket. Imagine for high net worth individuals (like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan) telling their clients: I think you should place this bet. And going on a 2-20 commission on the bets they're placing for their clients. Then you can have OTC deals. A broker for OTC. "I need to buy this lot. I don't want to affect the market too much." The cool thing about Polymarket is the expandability. Kalshi is more of an exchange or a destination. Polymarket can become a platform for other brokers to plug into. Just like Nasdaq is a platform. No client really trades directly on Nasdaq. They trade through their brokers. Maybe in the future, regulation will require them to unbundle into exchanges and brokers. Today, the venue is the broker as well. The coolest thing is that in the end Polymarket is a blockchain company. You can access all the data through the blockchain. I think they are mature enough for starting a broker business on Polymarket. And I think it's underexploited. Maybe that's why it will be bigger in the future. Hence the valuation of 21 billion starts to make sense.

The amount of Gen Z treating sports betting as a "deliberate, ongoing component” of their wealth plan is truly worrisome. Over a quarter of Gen Z approve, whereas only 14% of millennials, 6% of Gen X, and 1% of Baby Boomers say the same.

Privacy is important. It's equally important to define what does it mean to transact privately in crypto.
The CEO of Binance ( @cz_binance ) just said something most people in crypto don't want to hear. The industry is "too transparent," and it's actually a huge problem. Institutions/whales don't want transparency - they want to benefit from blockchain's efficiency, whilst having the same privacy-preserving elements that traditional rails offer. Whoever properly solves this will be a big winner.

Liquid Death is a legend because the team turned regular bottled water into a $1.4 brand through creative marketing. Similar to Apple, they challenged consensus. For starters, LD put plain water in 16.9 oz aluminum cans with fancy artwork so drinking water looked like holding an energy drink or beer. Absurdity, dark humor (e.g., turning actual negative customer comments into vinyl metal albums), and a few amazing campaigns ("Death to Plastic") only added to the bonfire. LD became a counterculture lifestyle brand, and rapidly entered major retail chains and live venues. But above all, they created value for their consumers. Now anyone can participate in an edgy aesthetic while staying sober with Liquid Death.
I’ve always approached business like an engineer. It worked like charm every time. Until recently. 1. Reverse-engineer the industry 2. See how value is created 3. Ship this value to the people who care Alas, the recipe that worked like magic, no longer cuts through the noise. Don't get me wrong, I am truly proud of what the @Yellow team achieved so far. Results are incredible on the engineering side, the media arm is growing fast, business development and relationships with developers are beyond amazing. More than 500 apps being built is something to count, including frontier cases like prediction markets and AI agents. But then I think about the reason why @0xYellow, @camille_yellow, and I started the company. The grand vision has always been to help as many people as possible to understand and experience the kind of Web where trust is no longer the barrier. Re-thinking branding as a whole, I can't stop rewatching 'Get a Mac' ads. It's my absolute numero uno in positioning and narrative plays. Out of 200 ads recorded, they aired about 60. What was really nice about each of them is that Apple never criticized the PC, and it was a very elegant campaign. In fact, Apple has always supported PC.

Alcatel dominated the ADSL chipset and equipment market in the 90s. But even millions of users didn't save the company from oblivion. Once the spinal cord of the internet, the company was rejected by the market. My interpretation is that investors and consumers couldn't care less about their backend infrastructure. Why should they? It's not so obvious to companies in TradFi or telecom; they assume staying hidden in the background is an option. But crypto infra must carry mindshare and value, because token mechanics rely on collective trust and liquidity. I am researching companies who nailed their brand positioning, trying to understand what makes it possible to serve customers better, to keep a clear, unique voice among the noise, and to communicate in a way that resonates with the people you serve. You would help me a ton if you share a few words about your favorite brand, and why you like it 🙏
