I believe in the power of praying to the saints. As a Catholic, I have prayed to many saints over the years.
When I was pregnant with my baby, I prayed to St. Gianna. Whenever I misplace things, I pray to St. Anthony. Iโve prayed to many other saints too, but strangely, I had never prayed to St. Joseph.
Recently, my husband had a serious issue with his boss. This man was owing him about FOUR MONTHS' salary. Imagine working for someone for four months without being paid, yet you still have bills, food, responsibilities and a family to take care of.
My husband eventually asked for his money because he desperately needed it. His boss told him there was no money and that he should be patient. He even said that if my husband eventually left and the money came, he would send it to him.
You know that kind of promise that makes you say, Hmmmm, this money has gone.
I was honestly frustrated. I didn't know what to do or who to call.
I was already doing my 52-day Rosary Novena, but one day I told myself, "I need to add something else. Who is the patron saint of workers?"
Then I remembered St. Joseph.
So I called my former Assistant Parish Priest, Father Ben, whom I'm very close to, and told him about the situation. I asked which saint I could pray a novena to.
He advised me to pray to St. Joseph because he is the patron saint of workers.
I said okay.
So I added the St. Joseph Novena to the prayers I was already doing. Every day, I prayed and kept believing that God would come through for us through the intercession of St. Joseph.
Guys...
LO AND BEHOLD.
The same man who had said there was no money, the same man who said my husband should exercise patience, actually PAID HIM HIS MONEY.
The four months' salary.
I cannot explain to you how I felt.
I know some people will say, "The man already wanted to pay." "It wasn't the novena." "It was just a coincidence."
Believe whatever you want to believe.
You were not there. You did not know what was happening behind the scenes. You did not see the frustration or how impossible the situation looked.
But I know what I prayed for, and I know what happened afterwards.
For me, this was a miracle. And I give God all the glory, with gratitude for the intercession of St. Joseph.
My fellow Catholics, if you have ever experienced what you believe was a miraculous answer through the intercession of a particular saint, tell me about it.
Which saint have you experienced a miracle through? Drop the name in the comments. ๐๐พโค๏ธ
