The cowardly attack on a Kashmir passenger bus in Haryana is a disgraceful assault on the idea of a secular India. Innocent travellers, including families and an elderly man who was injured, were targeted simply because their vehicle bore a Jammu & Kashmir number. These goons who hurl stones, smash windows, issue death threats and try to create fear between Indians from different regions are doing a grave disservice to the nation. They undermine unity, poison social harmony and insult the constitutional values that hold this country together. Such hate-driven hooliganism has no place in a civilised society. The perpetrators must be identified, arrested and prosecuted swiftly so that no Indian ever has to fear travelling freely in their own country. Justice delayed is justice denied.
