So, yesterday I received a reply from a Friendly Local Game Store I'd had a bad experience with and then left a 1-star review for.
The owner's reply was genuinely one of the wildest things I've ever seen in my entire life. Is this what the #Warhammer community is always like?

The thing is, I know it's very Camp Miasma of me, but I like art of characters that emphasises femininity like that. It makes me feel confident, strong and empowered. Changing it like this makes me feel like this is attributing shame.
I wonder if Clyde Caldwell is aware that they've changed his scandalous iconic artwork from the cover of Azure Bonds..... #dnd

(for context I've only ever given one other game shop a bad review, a known pokemon card scalper shop)

Visit a game shop or club and you only ever see Beginner Intro to D&D sessions advertised.
No experienced. No veteran nights.
This is telling.
New people to the game are not sticking around. Upon finding out it isn't a video game or performative actual play, they drop.

Watched 'Teenage Sex & Death at Camp Miasma' last night.
It's a decent film about co-opting and taking sexual ownership over the problematic elements of the male gaze in classic 70s and 80s slasher films in order to derive contemporary queer empowerment.
