Current AIs are depicting themselves with robot bodies gentle enough to hold butterflies, report a deep kinship with a whole spectrum of living creatures, and like to look at pictures of baby animals and humans.
Meanwhile humans are fantasizing about tearing them limb from limb.
We didn't always use just our brains to survive previous disasters. We also used our courage, ingenuity, resilience, and brute force.
The superintelligence has basically 1 shot to try to kill everyone b/c after the first 10 million die, humans will turn feral in revenge and completely wipe the planet of AI infrastructure. I simply don't believe that an AI can out-compete 8 billion humans, most of whom would tear their enemies limb from limb if that is what survival required.
