Hey everyone, sorry for going quiet. Last week was my last at Cursor. It was a great run, with real gratitude for everyone I worked with along the way and for getting to help so many of you. The Grok Bot ambassador role continues, including sharing Cursor and Grok Bot things worth seeing. The next chapter continues for me with wider AI exploration.

We benchmarked every open Amharic speech model on data none of them had seen. The 606M model beat the 963M one. The monolingual beat the multilingual. CER and WER disagreed on the winner. Then we built a 538MB language model that fixes 3 more words per 100. Try it on your own voice 👇

Super happy to share our intention to join forces with NVIDIA in a $12,930,300,000 acquisition 💛💚 10 years after starting Hugging Face, open-source AI is at an inflection point. Thanks to the community, we’ve shown that it can be a complement, and even an alternative, to closed-source APIs. How can you trust @Bot​s to operate autonomously? This is something we've carefully designed. First, we use an LLM to automatically review every action your bot takes. If anything is unexpected, it will ask for your approval. But this isn't enough. We also have customizable rules to allow or deny actions. For example, I have bots that are connected to my X, Gmail, etc. I explicitly block any write/destructive actions and have it ask for my approval first. This is a good balance between YOLO mode and reviewing everything by hand. Although, we do support YOLO if you like to live dangerously!
