Thank you, @m8arteta ❤️ Thank you for believing in Arsenal when it would have been easier to walk away. Thank you for giving us something to believe in again. You didn’t just build a football team; you helped rebuild a connection between Arsenal and its supporters. You brought the fans closer to the club, made us feel part of the journey, and reminded us that supporting Arsenal is about more than just results. You asked us to trust the process. And it wasn’t always easy. There were doubts, frustrations and moments when the patience was tested. But we trusted you — and look at the good that has come from it. You gave us a team we are proud of. A team with identity, ambition, belief and fight. You gave the Emirates its voice back and gave Arsenal fans around the world a reason to believe again. And beyond the football, we’ve watched you grow with Arsenal — as a leader, a husband, a father, and a man carrying the weight and expectations of this great club. To you and your family, thank you for everything you have given to Arsenal. The journey isn’t over. There is still more to achieve, more memories to make, and hopefully more trophies to celebrate together. Thank you, Mikel, for asking us to trust the process. Thank you for making us believe. And thank you for bringing Arsenal closer to its people again. Now, let’s finish what we started. ❤️🤍 COYG.
Forward together. Mikel Arteta is here to stay ❤️

If all this is true, then Jorge Jesus is at fault.
🚨🇵🇹 OFFICIAL! CRISTIANO RONALDO STATEMENT: “This is the truth on what has happened with Jorge Jesus”. As I promised, I decided to recount, in the first person and directly, the circumstances surrounding the last training camp of the National Team. After the 2026 World Cup I prepared a letter to the Portuguese people, which I still keep, with the words I want to address to them when I leave our team for good. At the end of the competition, already on the flight back from the United States, the President of the Federation asked and insisted that I reconsider the decision to leave, because the FPF wanted me to continue. Right afterwards he asked me for my opinion on the name of the current head coach, which he was considering alongside other names he did not reveal to me. I told the President of the Federation that, in my opinion, it would be the right choice. That is why, on the day the current head coach was presented, I was genuinely happy with the choice. It was the right option, as the results are confirming. A few days later I received a first contact from the new national team coach saying he would like to meet me in person. I said yes and we scheduled it for the end of my holidays. We met at the Cidade do Futebol, where my club was holding its pre-season training camp. That day the coach told me he was counting on me and that my presence was fundamental to his project. He presented me, right there, with a plan for my participation. He told me I would play the first match and the last one, and that for reasons of physical management he would always make three to four changes per match. At that point he raised the possibility of me not travelling with the national team to Norway and Denmark. He proposed that I play the first match and stay in Portugal, then rejoin before the match at the Dragão. I refused this proposal immediately. It seemed obvious to me that I could not accept it. It was not because I would not play the matches abroad that I would stop captaining our team. That privilege of staying in Portugal would not be a good example. The coach ended up agreeing with my analysis. This conversation was attended by Simão Coutinho, sporting director of Al Nassr, the person to whom the current coach reported throughout last season and one of those responsible for his signing by the club in 2025. On the eve of the start of the camp the coach came to my house in Lisbon, at his request, for another conversation with me. The conversation was calm and all the principles agreed in August were maintained. I played the match at Alvalade and, although substituted, I made no problem of it. I put the armband on Bruno Fernandes myself, far from imagining that I might be taking my last steps as a player and captain of the National Team. What mattered to me that day was our victory. Winning is always good; in Portugal and for my country, even better. At lunchtime on the day of the match in Norway, an assistant to the coach came to the table where the group was having lunch and informed me that the coach wanted to speak to me. To my absolute surprise, the coach asked me if I was fit to play 30 minutes. I was fully focused on my physical recovery, integrated with my teammates as always, and thinking that I would not play that day. Without any problem. This request was something outside my physical recovery and training plan — because I was only going to play on the 4th at the Dragão — but of course I said yes. He replied that I should then be ready because I would play 30 minutes. The rest everyone knows. I warmed up from half-time, watched the minutes go by, and was not called. The coach had broken his word to me.

The chickens will eventually come home to roost.
A lot of people are waiting for me to say I support APC. So here it goes. As a human being, what Tinubu has achieved in his personal life coming from where he came from is the stuff of legends. An orphan boy who worked his way from relative obscurity and did everything that was necessary to ensure his own survival and freedom long enough to amass enough wealth and power to rule the most populous black country on earth. It takes grit, balls and intelligence. How I believe he's gone about doing this is exactly what disqualifies him as a role model. His role should have always been in the background. The conscience of a nation should not be weighed down by the alleged criminal past of its president. Somewhere in his journey, he lost the very thing that qualifies a leader from a ruler. His ability to care about the plight of anything that does not advance his personal goals and ambition. It's the kind of machiavellian nature that's useful in the criminal underworld as the boss of a crime family. That skill doesn't translate well when you're leading 100s of millions of people who can offer you nothing personally. A president needs to be someone who can bare the burdens of a suffering masses without breaking down or becoming too stoic that he cannot feel for his own people. I don't think you go from orphan to president by being soft at your core. Unfortunately we don't have any leadership schools that teaches people how to transform from the hard core person that grabs power to a soft core person with the ability to feel for other humans. Because you do need the ability to be empathetic to be a leader and in the world that raised Tinubu, empathy is a weakness. As for Lagos elections, I don't really have a dog in that fight. I think APC will win because they're too entrenched and the opposition is split. So if this reads as me being pro APC. Have at it.

Football is really funny and cruel. Spain beat England 3-2 England beat Croatia 7-0 Now Spain is finding it hard to beat Croatia 😂

My take home from the banter between Kenyans and South Africans is that our educational system is trash and it’s evident from the way we tweet. It’s just banter but you can tell Kenyans are highly intelligent and way ahead of us intellectually.

How to put 20B into the NB.
On a serious note! When Tinubu was designing blue rail, red rail and green rail for Lagos, what was Obi designing?

She deserves it. I hope she gets more beating. I only hope she doesn't die as a result but so far she is alive and stays with the man; may the beating continue.
On January 3rd, her boyfriend beat her during an argument over how they wanted their Nikah to be conducted. Despite this, she married the same man on February 13th/14th. Then, on October 3rd, she was beaten badly by the same man. She was four months pregnant at the time and, tragically, lost the pregnancy as a result of the beating. Dear young ladies, the boyfriend who beats you today and you still choose to marry may eventually become the husband who kills you.

Peut-être devrais-je commencer à me préparer pour faire mon doctorat en France😂
One advantage of doing a PhD in France is that you continue to get paid after finishing until you find a new job. You have about 18 months to find a job.

New York City, wetin dey sup? It was a joy to commemorate 34 years of the Nigerian Day Parade alongside the many Nigerian New Yorkers who fill our city with life. From the entrepreneurs whose businesses strengthen our neighborhoods, to the sounds of Afrobeats pouring out of graduation parties in Southeast Queens, and the aroma of Agege bread calling out to passersby in Brooklyn — the impact of Nigerian New Yorkers is felt across the five boroughs. Our city is richer in culture, stronger in community, and more vibrant because of your contributions.
