Rainbow Arts is probably best known for the Turrican series. I will out myself here and say that my favourite game by them is Mad TV from 1991.
You run your very own TV station, including which movies and shows to buy and schedule, which advertising deals to accept, and how much to invest in the hourly news (better news ratings boost viewership for the subsequent movies and shows). You also try to find the right balance between growing the station, maintaining high ratings, and keeping costs under control.
The concept is incredibly fun and fairly easy to grasp. The thrill of finally affording the rights to your first Wimbledon live broadcast or a blockbuster movie (and seeing the killer ratings) never gets old. Later on, you can buy entire new satellites to expand your reach and even produce your own shows.
A lot of love and attention to detail went into this game. I still play it to this day.
