Blackbeards entire introduction is written perfection. Sure, he doesn't have "aura" at this point as the kids would say but thats not the point.
Him and Luffy are 2 sides of the same coin, the same but yet opposites, and everything about this scene shows that.

No other champ scales with mana, so that leaves the ones that need lots of mana. But thats basically Anivia and Cassio and neither of those have a damage profile in which Actualizer would make sense.

Not at Zoro directly, but i really wish we had another New Gen swordsman actively trying to be the WSS.
Seeing him get stronger between arcs, learning Haki, living his own journey.
Then having one last duel with Zoro, deciding who gets to challenge Mihawk for the title.

He is an awful person, that's the point.
Those things are not exclusive.
Rudy gets "leeway" because ultimately he's fiction, his vile actions don't hurt real people. No sane person is watching this show going "I wish I had a real friend like Rudy".
It's not that hard to get...
If Mushoku fans said their MC was an awful person, but they enjoy the series, I'd understand that.
It's the constant pitying and empathizing with this vile piece of human excrement that leaves me confused.

They tried to take a seinen manga and make it appeal to a shonen audience, ruining most of the nuance of the story in the process. That was just never gonna go well.
