Astounding to see the Broadway Prestwick on BBC'S Repair Shop getting 35mm and carbon arc projection up and running - seriously mind-blowing stuff. A triumph for analogue film in Scotland and an absolute must watch for all lovers of cinema! 📽️

70mm sized screen small as hell
Kevin O'Leary says movie theaters can't be replaced and will survive:
“I go to these large-screen formats. It’s not just the images, it’s the sound. Even in the most expensive home theater — and I’ve got one — there’s no way you can get that same feel. As long as the experience is unique, particularly these new theaters with full bar service, food service, incredible sofa-like chairs in a giant room with perfect sound and 70mm size screen, you can’t beat it.”

Imagine if Sinners ended up going straight to Netflix… that’s the world we’re living in.
Today, Netflix announced our acquisition of Warner Bros. Together, we’ll define the next century of storytelling, creating an extraordinary entertainment offering for audiences everywhere. about.netflix.com/en/news/ne…
Community note
In February 2026, Paramount offered a higher sum of money than Netflix offered to acquire Warner Bros, but Netflix refused to increase its offer.
Because of this, Netflix will not acquire Warner Bros.
