On a whim, asked Sol 6.1 to write a small C port of rustc. Surprisingly, it is making progress and the full rust bootstrap from C is almost working.

Unless you have an eval showing otherwise, prefer less. Less in your prompt, less in your skills, less documentation, less LOC, less everything. Less, less, less.

Had astra clear my steam inventory and managed to recover $400 of stuff I didn't even know I had..

holy moly claude is good at writing code in assembly.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but gpt 6 seems insanely good at proving C code using frama-c

Setup a bidirectional Astra interface to my remarkable tablet. Insanely fun working back and forth with AI in this way.

Protip - astra can use linux via xdotool.

Can confirm Astra available in my pro codex account.

We should normalize AI agents making donations to open source projects they send PRs to. Microtransactions could make a comeback?

Do any agent harnesses have a builtin 'yak shaving' stack system?

I have always been interested in exploring alternate executable file formats after learning how much complexity can be within ELF. I always thought #sqlite would make a pretty good match as an executable format given it's ubiquity. Took the opportunity to investigate fleshing out the implementation and I was pretty happy and surprised with how nicely it all works out. A whole system, 700+ binaries, as a single #sqlite file: libraries, symbols, and all. fzakaria.com/2026/08/23/your…

The better software becomes, the more it moves out of the way. The best software will just be a simple voice request and the task is done.

DeepSeek-V4-Flash-Vision-Exp is now live on the DeepSeek API Platform! 🚀 🔹 This experimental multimodal model matches DeepSeek-V4-Flash on text capabilities—including agents, reasoning, and world knowledge. 🔹 On multimodal agent benchmarks, V4-Flash-Vision-Exp makes a major leap over V4-Flash, bringing multimodal agent performance close to Opus-4.8. Try it with model='deepseek-v4-flash-vision-exp'. DeepSeek Harness 0.1.1 was released today with out-of-the-box support for the new model. 1/n

If you stop and think, it makes far more sense for agents to operate over ssh/sftp and/or combined full terminal emulation.
