As an advisor - “It Depends” is not only an acceptable first answer - it is often the best first answer, especially when followed up by better questions.
There is a lot of talk about being a leader OR a manager. Often with the manager being seen as a negative. As a CEO of a small business, you need to be both - the trick is choosing the right role (or how much weight each gets) for the right circumstance.
In some ways I think I like walking sites right after demo over sites where framing has started. It’s about the clean slate and potential. But my favorite sites are the ones with an upcoming RCD.
For my fellow 50+ entrepreneurs , don’t think, “How many years do I have left?”
Think, “How much distance can I cover from here?”
One bold decision can compress years of status quo into months of progress.
And BTW - 50 is not old, so calm down!
I see a lot of the following on social - I have not executed this strategy well - therefore, no one executes the strategy well - therefore, it is a bad strategy. A lot of black or white conclusions from an improper premise.

I get that controversy is good for building your social media presence, but I get annoyed by sponsors telling investors (except their investors) that the investor's current strategy sucks - without giving any consideration to that investor's objectives.
An unsexy key to success is the ability to strike a balance between paralysis by analysis and weighing opportunity costs, with the latter often overlooked in the pursuit of busyness that is waste disguised as progress.
