Bullshit. Since my car was totaled, riding to work is 25$ (minimum WITH me waking up 1.5 hours earlier to use the WAIT AND SAVE option) for a 10 mile trip BEFORE THE TIP. Then getting home during rush hour is 30$ before the tip, still choosing to wait 20-35 mins for my ride home. Then going to the gym every day is 15$ (at minimum) to get there (5 miles away) and $17 to return (at minimum). God only knows if I want to go 2 miles to get to the gas station for sodas for my mom that’s 13$ one way. When I had a car I paid the car note, the insurance, and gas and spent way less than taking uber or Lyft. If you’re paying 200 for uber then that means you’re not using the uber 2x a day to get to work or school as an average person would. That’s not counting grocery trips, haircuts, and all the little errands most people need to do.
i pay less than $200 a month on lyft. you know what i don't pay for? gas. car insurance. maintenance. parking. etc. etc. etc.
