Long story short: I was too poor to play WoW on Launch - so I played W3 since I was 9 y.o over and over again-to make up for not having a financial ability to play WoW. So to me Warcraft 3 is a game of my life, like for many of you WoW is - I want it to get expantion every year!

Someone asked me something earlier about how quest drops work in WoW: Forever and if we are changing that. The short answer is no; however we did do something cool that we haven't really had a good opportunity to talk about yet. In the interest of our Pro-social approach, we added a bit of under the hood functionality to quests to more predictably round-robin quest items to people who are grouped. There's nothing worse than killing a million furbolgs and having one guy in your group have 8/10 furbolg butts, and the other guy has 1/10. In WoW: Forever we've got something in place that makes its a bit more consistent that everyone in the group will get drops evenly. We are still dialing in this system, but if you are afraid to group on drop quests, I'd encourage you to give it a try. It's still going to take time, just like vanilla wow, but it'll be less feast or famine, and you'll definitely kill things much faster. A bit of grind on these drop quests are part of the vanilla magic we are maintaining, but we can do small things to help it feel more natural and encourage grouping while still maintaining that original design, and that's our goal. With our Recent Allies feature, you are also likely to keep seeing people you group up with in later play sessions as well. Hell, you might even make a friend!

Actually fun fact, I prefer classic WoW saga as a player and a lore nerd myself, but when War in Ukraine started Dragonflight was out - and Escaping to a peaceful Dragonflight WoW after rocket shellings and sirens helped my mental a lot first year of war.
