This is a terrible article and I can't understand how it got past the fact-checkers at the Nation.
1. The screenshotted paragraph is nonsense. The case is called U.S. v. Skrmetti now—not LW v. Skrmetti—and the Biden-HARRIS administration is suing Tennessee and in doing so is making a landmark argument that the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment protects trans people. It's ridiculous to caim the Harris campaign has nothing to offer.
2. The author writes: "If passed, the case would prevent state-level anti-trans bills from being held up by injunctions."
Cases aren't passed, buddy. What does this even mean? 1/
