Fortnite Reload — What’s Working & What Isn’t🔃 Reload is genuinely one of my favorite modes and I really enjoy playing it, but it still feels like it has a lot of untapped potential. Just wanted to share some feedback and ideas for improvements.

This is the end of the feedback thread. I hope the developers listen, because this mode could be so much better. I’ve put a lot of time into this thread. @arCtyC , @EpicTofuChris — please read this and discuss it with the team. We really appreciate your work! Thanks for reading

6. Siphon: This is something everyone has been asking for since the mode launched. It’s already in Ranked and works really well in Reload—it makes fights more rewarding and allows for clutch plays. We need it in pubs too.

First of all, finding rare loot is way too hard right now. Also, mythics and exotics don’t necessarily need to be vaulted—it could be a large rotating pool so every match gives you something different. We also need more new Dev Chests and rare loot spawning more often.

5. Rare Loot / Dev Chests: We all love this addition in Reload, but it could be so much more. Also on top of that Please keep doing modifiers, Legendary Royale weekends, and things like the Overwatch kits—the community really loves those additions.

We need more older chapter-inspired maps again that the community actually enjoys and that can stay in the rotation long-term. (Concept Image)

Elite Stronghold also doesn’t really work—the cliffy terrain makes movement awkward, and there’s no strong central POI to properly loot. Overall, it just doesn’t flow well in gameplay.

Maps that didn’t really work as well are Surf City and Elite Stronghold. Surf City felt too early in terms of design, especially since we already had most of its content in BR.

Chapter-themed maps work really well, especially when they include POIs the community already knows, along with some new ones inspired by older chapters—it’s a really strong concept. Maps that did this well were Venture, Oasis, Slurp Rush, Squid Grounds, and Nitemare Island.

3. Chest Refilling If you reboot in the endgame, there’s often no loot available, which puts you at a huge disadvantage. Having chests refill during mid or late game could help fix that and make endgame reboots more viable.

Reload is meant to be a fast-paced mode with constant movement. In my opinion, items like the grappler and shockwaves should be staples in this mode.

The movement spawn rate in Reload feels inconsistent—some matches you’re overloaded with mobility, while others you get almost none. That needs balancing, because in a fast-paced mode like this, a lack of movement basically puts you at a direct disadvantage.

2. Movement Movement feels really bad in Reload right now (apart from the Overwatch Kits). Overdrive Grenades don’t really work in Reload. (This was made while the grapple blade was still in)

Morphite weapons are a fun idea, but they’re often buggy and inconsistent. The Morphite Pump, Tac, Heavy AR and Hand Cannon usually work fine, but weapons like the Morphite Scar and SMG behave very differently from their original versions.

Also Not including OG items just because OG mode exists feels inconsistent—by that logic, BR loot shouldn’t be in Reload either, which doesn’t make sense.

Also, adding the same modern weapons we already have in BR feels pretty boring—having a few is fine, but the entire loot pool shouldn’t just copy BR.

Also, the Cube SMG is currently ruining Reload, and people are exploiting it by carrying an entire inventory full of them, which makes them shoot explosives with every shot.

Stop adding Chapter 5 versions of weapons when we already have the Chapter 1/2/3 versions of those guns. I understand adding unique Chapter 5 weapons like the Gatekeeper, for example, but don’t add newer versions of old weapons.

I feel like weapons such as the Cube SMG, Cube AR, Seven Power Gloves, and Seven Cannon don’t really belong in Reload. Reload was supposed to be a mode to take a break from BR — it was literally advertised as that in the first blog post.
