Q: What was your personal favorite page to draw in the first chapter?
Kami Nishio: "My favorite page is a scene where Reo and Momo are training hard in the broadcasting club.
It’s a scene I personally love because it captures the radiance of youth."

"I made a point of depicting them, not in a world of just Reo and Rui, but within a complex reality where their lives are intertwined with those of family, friends, and lovers, each with their own circumstances."

Kami Nishio (@ReoAndRui): "I built the story intuitively, based on my first impressions of the two characters.
"By imagining them as real people—thinking things like, 'This person probably has a sibling'—their personalities, pasts, and family backgrounds naturally fell into place."

Q: What was your inspiration for this story?
Kami Nishio (@ReoAndRui): "It all started with my casual doodle of Reo and Rui.
"When I looked back at that drawing later, I grew attached to them, and the story was born from me wondering, 'What kind of relationship will these two build?'"

that's the dream Kami Nishio (@ReoAndRui) is living with his BL manga, "Still You"!
Q: What is it like to adapt an award-winning one-shot into a series? Are there any special challenges to the process?
Kami Nishio: "In the one-shot, due to page limitations, I focused primarily on major events.
"In the serialized version, I made a conscious effort to delve deeper into the world of 'Still You' by depicting the everyday life, relationships, supporting characters, and the environment surrounding the protagonists—all of which I couldn’t include in the one-shot."
