The federal govt should make gold, silver, the dollar, and a crypto all tax-free money. Which crypto tho? Introducing: Mintcoin. Printing 3% base money collects revenue without an IRS army. • Taxes world: The dollar is the world's reserve currency so by printing more of them we're taxing everyone who holds them, which it's only fair to charge the world a fee for this critical service of providing global monetary stability. • Price stability: The economy grows every year so it's more stable if the money supply grows too. • Reduces rent-seeking: Huge deflation would incentivize people to hoard their wealth as they rent-seek off the economic growth around them. • More freedom: The dollar should compete with gold, silver, and crypto as tax-free/receivable money so whereas the latter three increase by less than 1% a year, the dollar could increase by a bit more since the govt would pay its employees/contracts in dollars, which means disproportionally taxing govt itself.
