Lions Youtuber, Post Content Daily with Detroit Lions News/Updates If I’m being negative during a game it’s because I’m trying to Jinx the Lions into winning
I love for how Lions fans is All or Nothing and no in between.
For something that is in the middle I am being bombarded with people saying “FIRE HOLMES” for suggesting JPJ isn’t the only option. While simultaneously being told “YOU WANT TO BLOW UP THE FUTURE” from the other side
What are the odds Branch plays limited snaps vs Arizona?
If he is healed and conditioned, he doesn’t have to learn the scheme or learn anything new.
Hopefully he gets 20-25 snaps to ramp up going into the break.
Trade: Eagles are sending two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens and a 2027 7th-round pick to the Ravens in exchange for a 2027 5th-round pick and a 2028 2nd-round pick, sources tell ESPN.
I do like Goff, a lot. But if the Lions are in a position to get a guy like Carr that would make things very affordable for them.
The best way to afford almost a dozen all pros? Have a cheap quality QB
CJ Carr has been making some TOP-10 pick worthy throws this season.
The Jets, Steelers, and Vikings have reportedly been out to watch Carr “multiple” times already this season.
The Notre Dame QB HAS THE ATTENTION of a lot of NFL scouts 😳🔥
As bleak as things seem. Should the Lions in on Sunday (3-2 record) then they go into the bye week and return with Mays, Branch, and a starting CB from trade. I think things would feel a lot better.
I don’t fully understand the “Brad never makes a move” people.
In 2024 they needed a CB and he traded a 3rd for Carlton Davis
Later that season he traded for ZaDarius Smith when the pass rush needed help.
When the Lions are ready to win Brad does make moves
The Detroit Lions were in on CB Joey Porter Jr, per @JFowlerESPN
“The Lions should make a move for a CB. They were in on Joey Porter Jr. before Pittsburgh traded him to Dallas.
Detroit's secondary is swimming right now, and though safety Brian Branch is close to a return and safety Kerby Joseph should eventually be back, the Lions don't have enough corner help to run the coverages they want.”
Skyler Gill-Howard’s stat line through the first 4 weeks is NOT talked about enough:
• 136 total defensive snaps
• 11 total pressures (1st among rookies)
• 2 QB hits (2nd among rookies)
• 8 QB hurries (1st among rookies)
The Lions rookie DT has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE for opposing QB’s 😳😈
This has been pet peeve for me for a while, and while it’s technically not true, using 2021 as “without Ben Johnson” is kind of silly
1) Ben Johnson was on the staff and had a say in the game plan / pass game
2) That was Campbells first year in Detroit during the early rebuild
🚨DAN CAMPBELL WITH AND WITHOUT BEN JOHNSON:
WITH BEN JOHNSON:
36-15 record
2 playoff appearances
399.5 yards per game
28.9 points per game
WITHOUT BEN JOHNSON:
11-10 record
0 playoff appearances
389 yards per game
29 points per game
The numbers are VERY VERY interesting… 👀
Hutch, Alim, Tyliek, and Wonnom are the best front 4 they have had since 2014.
They are a top 5 group statistically and look the part. Plus Derrick Moore off the bench and several guys who looked great in preseason for depth
Agreed. DE is another position the Lions could pivot to at the trade if there isn't good CB help. Getting better on defense needs to be the ultimate goal.
Sione Vaki has been good on ST and good as RB2 this year
Christian Mahogany is a starter
Tyliek is really good
Ratledge is really good
TeSlaa is a great WR3
Hassanein seems to be good depth
Blake Miller is starting and looks good
Moore, Abney, Rolder, have all flashed
90% successful wtf are you looking at. Go look at his last 17 picks since taking Branch. I’ll be nice and say only 15 were busts. Doesn’t even factor all the picks he gave up to take these busts
I agree. If the Defense flops again vs the NFLs least explosive Offense, especially with Branch playing, I think Sheppard will be demoted if not outright let go. They would have 2 weeks to figure it out
AG was not good either he just got lucky that Carlton Davis played 12 games in 2024
His last 6 games as a DC the defense allowed 31, 48, 17, 34, 9 (Sam Darnold forgot how to play football) and 45
31PPG. That’s your demon?
While I still very much want a cornerback via trade.
I am curious to see the difference with Branch. It was so obvious when he got hurt. Like the next play the defense was noticeably worse
#Lions coach Dan Campbell on Brian Branch: "He's close. Yep. He's close. He's ready to go. I'm tired of listening to him. I mean that in a good way. Love that kid, man, he's put in a ton of work."
