Jeremy Clarkson has spent years claiming climate change isn’t real.
Now he’s giving speeches begging for change, saying it’s been a “terrible year for farming.”
He has spent years mocking and dismissing concerns about climate change, although in more recent years he has acknowledged that the climate is changing.
And now he’s experiencing just how much extreme weather can affect farming.
Of course, one bad year doesn’t prove climate change.
But the long-term evidence does.
And there’s certainly some irony in someone who spent years dismissing the issue, now experiencing firsthand just how important the climate is when your livelihood depends on it.
Turns out climate change becomes a lot harder to ignore when it starts affecting your own fields.
