CashAddr shorter than 8 bytes could pass checksum validation and then trigger out-of-bounds.
Fixes are already in place. Affected software includes @eCash and @bitcoincashnode.

Would love it if @VitalikButerin could pull some strings to right the wrongs of @coinbase when it chose BCHN over @eCash back in 2020 and never gave customers their forked XEC. I thought @brian_armstrong and @cobie were better than this. List XEC @CoinbaseAssets!!!
This process of media orgs taking on the primary responsibility of calling the winner of the election feels a lot like how controversial hard forks work in cryptocurrencies.
