What is Hysteric Literature? I will discuss this at Mast Books with Jamieson Webster tonight at 7pm. We will talk about my book but also texts by Jamieson, Ingeborg Bachmann, Gerard Wajcmann, and others.
“To my mind, the book stands alongside those of Andrew Holleran, Alan Hollinghurst, Edmund White, and other recent grande dames.”—@jeremylybarger writes a mini-review of “Such Times” by Christopher Coe @ArchwayEditions, from this week’s summer missive 4columns.org/columns-4/criti…

Our second event with Lynne and Taylor for THE MYSTERY OF PERCEPTION! This will be a Q&A with the illustrious, unequalled Ira Silverberg at the instantly iconic Village Works bookstore in the East Village, NYC.
ALT A companion piece to the previous flyer, also by Naomi Falk, this one blue and fuzzy with a classic photo of Lynne Tillman reading what appears to be some kind of manuscript in a manila folder while in a domestic setting surrounded by a small tree, what appears to be a little statue, a glass of water, a framed picture, and other nice things. She's wearing a striped shirt. This flyer is for the second event on Tuesday, June 17th, at Village Works (the amazing new East Village shop), at 7pm, where Lynne and Taylor will be in conversation with the illustrious Ira Silverberg, who has frankly done it all as agent, editor, publisher and more. This one will be more intimate of a conversation than the bash at Powerhouse - a lovely opportunity for those looking for a quiet and educational book launch, old school style, before all this business with DJs and extra readers to make readings an "event" in the sometimes fun, sometimes overwhelming, sometimes underwhelming way they can be these days.
