🚒Help us keep Hawick’s full-time fire cover 24/7!🔥
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service plans to remove full-time cover at night and on weekends from Hawick Fire Station. I have backed and continue to back our local firefighters throughout this campaign.
It's important to note these cuts have not happened yet, but we must keep up the pressure to stop them. Emergencies can happen at any hour and any day, and our firefighters need the resources to respond, and to be able to respond quickly.
Please sign the petition from the Fire Brigades Union and help us make the case to keep Hawick’s full-time fire cover, day and night.

The Fire Brigades Union is convening a public meeting to bring residents, local businesses and community representatives together to push back against Scottish Fire and Rescue Services' proposals to cut Hawick’s full-time fire cover.
I have supported the campaign against these proposals throughout, and the fight is not over.
