🔥New Team Alert 🔥 Armor Elite is excited to announce Armor Elite 2033 - Chaganti/McAuley Head Coach Prasheel Chaganti began coaching softball when his daughter was in 2nd grade, and fell in love with the sport, discovering that softball is a powerful tool for teaching valuable lifelong lessons. He started coaching many of these players in 8U and has been part of their growth from Rec to All Stars to Travel. Coach Jay McAuley joined the team's coaching staff when they transitioned to Travel 2 years ago. Coach Jay is the head coach of the Lassiter High School Varsity basketball team, and as a former D1 basketball coach and high school baseball player, he brings a wealth of coaching experience along with strong leadership and competitive energy. Coaches Prasheel and Jay also coach in the Lassiter Metro program together, and they are excited to continue their journey with the Armor Elite organization as they enter their 3rd year of travel softball. Their team values center on building a strong and accountable team culture where players grow both on and off the field. On their teams, success is earned through consistent effort, positive attitudes, and sharp execution. They push their players to step outside their comfort zones, because that's where real growth happens. They also teach their players to put the team above themselves and to meet every outcome with grace. We are thrilled to introduce our Director of Player Development: Barb Sherwood. Coach Sherwood's impressive experience and passion for young athletes is an invaluable addition to our organization and mission. Coach Sherwood will also be serving as assistant coach on AE Premier O'Neal. We are looking forward to the impact she will have on our coaches and teams for many years to come!

🔥New Team Alert 🔥 Armor Elite is excited to announce Armor Elite Premier- Pope/Leedy 2028/29 AND Armor Elite- Pope/Leedy/Pezzuolo 18u! Head Coach Jami Pope (16u Pope/Leedy & 18u Pope/Pezzuolo) has coached in both the Ohio Stingray and Outlaw Organizations for the last 20 years. Compiling over 450 wins and 55 Committed Student Athletes and winning records in each of the last 9 seasons (summer and fall). Jami is also the Director of Recruiting at Capital University where they won their first Conference tournament in 2026 since 2013.  She has a long history of success and looks forward to increasing her longevity with the Armor Elite Program! Assistant Coach Lane Leedy (16u Pope/Leedy & 18u Pope/Pezzuolo) has also coached for the last two decades and also began her coaching career in the Ohio Stingrays Organization with stops at University of Toledo (2013) Black Hills State University (2014-2019) University of Findlay 2020-2024, Ohio Outlaws 2022-2026 and Currently is coaching at Ashland University. She has a hall of fame playing experience and looks forward to become Armor Elite! Assistant Coach Jen Pezzuolo (18u) is in her first very long tour of travel softball, She has been the outstanding coach of Outlaws Premier Pezzuolo. With stops at both nationally recognized Team PA and Outlaws Premier and and an intense love of both the game and her players Jen and her kiddos have compiled an over all record of 364-164-33.  She is looking so forward to joining Armor elite as well! 🔥New Team Alert 🔥 Armor Elite is excited to announce Armor Elite- Vermaak 2032! Head Coach, Elayna Vermaak, is a two-time First Team All-American utility player from Carson-Newman University and spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant with Auburn Softball. With over 16 years of coaching experience, Elayna has worked with athletes ranging from ages 6–20 and has built a strong reputation for developing players both on the field and through athletic performance training. After relocating to Atlanta, she is continuing her work in the travel softball community, combining high-level softball instruction with strength and performance development to help female athletes become stronger, more confident, and prepared to compete at the next level. Assistant Coach, Gavin Smith, brings a strong background in player development and coaching. A former collegiate player at Brewton-Parker College, Gavin also competed in independent professional baseball and received opportunities to play professionally in Japan. He has coached baseball and softball athletes ages 8–18, works with multiple age groups at 643 Baseball, and has experience developing athletes across multiple levels of competition. Together, Elayna and Gavin are committed to creating a culture centered around player development, accountability, confidence, and competitiveness. Their goal is to help each athlete continue to grow as a player and person while providing the tools, training, and guidance needed to compete at the highest levels of softball.
