Constant RAM upgrades
I had a friend switch from console gaming to PC and then switched back simply because he got fed up with the constant driver updates/RAM upgrades/optimization to simply just kick back and play the games he enjoyed. PC is better in a lot of ways, but console is easier.
Community note
GPU driver updates are not constant and usually optional if a system is stable; they are mainly for new games, bugs, or security. RAM upgrades are infrequent after a PC build and not a routine requirement. clxgaming.com/blog/pc-parts-… xda-developers.com/reasons-why-so… nzxt.com/blogs/news/how

People like this have either clearly never played games on PC or find spending 10 seconds going into the setting menu the biggest burden of their life. Happy for them to stick to their consoles where, One is in the middle of a big war of going digital when no one wants it and then not respecting the customer, while also being well know to not be trustworthy and had multiple data leaks. The other has no games, firing most companies that would make games for them and they only really have gane pass which is slowly becoming more costly and more limited. Oh and switch, which is even more exclusive than PlayStation, the only place to play the same Mario and Pokemon game for the 50th time.
It sucks cause it's constant troubleshooting, constant figuring something out that takes precious time away from the only thing I wanna fucking do. It comes with benefits, but stop pretending it's smooth sailing. It just fucking isn't.

IIRC this is the best AMD card on the market rn. This comparison is ridiculous lmao
I need PC gamers to at least acknowledge that ONE COMPONENT in your build is already a Switch 2 and a couple of games. Not everyone’s got a few grand laying around for a build, speaking as someone who’s just built two of these things for me and the wife.
Community note
This compares a premium high-end RX 9070 XT GPU (~$780 retail, MSRP $599) to the full $500 Nintendo Switch 2 console price. Capable entry/mid-range gaming PCs use far cheaper GPUs and total similar or lower costs than high-end console setups. nintendo.com/us/whatsnew/pr… digitalfoundry.net/articles/digit… techspot.com/specs/gpu/3050… mainnpc.com/best-budget-ga

If you somehow managed to get a virus in the big 26 the problem is you lmao Spent ~1200 on a great build in 2021. I buy maybe $500 in games a year. Can't remember the last time I had to mess with settings to make a game run. The problem is you big dawg
You spend $1600 on a good build, $300 on games throughout a 6 month span, have to troubleshoot and mess with your settings when you wanna play a new game, and all of that can be thrown away from ONE virus! PC gaming and it’s community are thoughtless shrills

I fully respect and support everyone's ability to play whatever game they want on whatever platform they want. This does not change the fact that PC is objectively the best platform for gaming.
