The point of forced diversity in historical movies is to create the impression that everywhere has been diverse forever. “We’ve always been at war with Eastasia.” When of course, with a few exceptions, most places have been very homogenous for almost all of history.
The goal is to convince the masses, for whom the TV is reality, that there is no alternative to diversity, and thus that nothing really radical is happening via mass migration. This is why they say ridiculous things like “Somalis built this country”.
