It was a pleasure to host Mark Rutte @SecGenNATO for a conversation about transatlantic relations and the future of our alliance. By keeping our transatlantic partnership strong, we can protect the peace and freedom that our countries have worked so hard to preserve.

Today we remember the lives lost on September 11 2001, and their loved ones and friends. In the days that followed, allies across the Atlantic stood together - a bond that endures today.

It was a pleasure to welcome William J. Burns, Director of the CIA (2021–2025).   Drawing on decades of diplomatic and intelligence experience, Bill explored the challenges shaping today’s international landscape and the lessons from international pressures. This underscored that, in an increasingly interconnected world, international cooperation is essential.

We were so pleased to host Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany 2005-2021, and hear her reflections on the global landscape. It was good to hear about the importance of defending democracy, and the need to work together and be willing to compromise - particularly given the challenges of the pace of digitalisation and development of AI.
